Antique Persian Heriz/Karadja Carpet circa 1910, 53 x 76 inches

This rug is a relic of days gone by. I don't come across pieces as good as this very often. It has a Karadja field design and a Heriz border. The four-sided white and blue diamonds flanking the center medallion and the ends of the field are an anomaly to this known format. These are ancient symbols and point to a great age. The rug measures 53 x 76 inches. The sides and ends have been professionally secured, and the carpet is clean and ready for use.
